Andy’s background
Andy graduated from the University of Portsmouth, with a Post Grad Diploma in Human Resource Management and spent 8 years working in HR, within the public sector. He then joined Zurich Financial Services, where he became Training and Development Manager for the UK, with responsibility for the development and implementation, of a training and development strategy.

At Nicholson McBride, Andy has been involved in the full spectrum of the consultancy offer, from rolling out leadership development programmes across organisations, to working on, customised programmes and workshops
Andy has a strong business focus and has spent much of his time helping managers develop skills in strategic leadership. He played a key part in our programme for Brand Managers within Volkswagen, helping them to challenge the accepted way of doing business and to develop a change plan for the future. Andy also uses this business knowledge to help ensure, any work on competence model development, or the design of development and assessment centres remain grounded in the tough reality of business life.
Andy has also worked on some of our programmes in the Public Sector, where his business knowledge combined with his personal experience, of working in the Public Sector, has helped to challenge top teams, whilst empathising with the reality of the problems they face.
