Career highlights
As a coach and facilitator – supporting numerous teams and individuals, in public and private sectors, to develop their person-centric skills and presentation skills. Most of all, getting updates from clients about their continued growth, confidence, and success beyond our work together.
As an actor – I’ve been very fortunate to travel with shows and experience new places, foods and cultures. Having done everything from Shakespeare to Coward, my particular highlights are being nominated for a What’s On Stage Award and working with recent prison leavers to deliver arts projects to young people.
Why I do this work
A few years into working as a professional actor, I began to understand how my skills as an artist are transferable and valuable across industries. I work with individuals and organisations because there is nothing more satisfying than facilitating a coachee’s mindset breakthrough or witnessing a team begin to deeply understand and champion each other. Across the finance, tech, and medical spheres, I’ve seen how a strong foundation of respect paves the way for efficient communication and overall satisfaction. I enjoy bringing a gentle sense of play to sessions; giving participants the permission to experiment with new skills and expand their capabilities in a secure setting.
My Edge
Being a classically-trained professional actor has allowed me to experience numerous workplaces and rehearsal rooms, with many directors/producers and groups of people. I developed the skills to quickly identify different working and communication styles, as well as my own; and learned to navigated these in a way that is conducive to creating a shared project. I have a high capacity for guiding individuals and teams through their stretch zone, encouraging deeper self-awareness, understanding, and experiment. I prioritise listening, observing, and allowing participants to feel heard as we explore the edges of their comfort zone.
