Why I do this work
I have been obsessed by organisational improvement since my very first job, and was lucky enough to have a boss who allowed me to get on with it. People don’t choose to be involved in useless processes and unproductive (or even toxic) relationships. They mostly want to do a good job, collaborate and contribute. Working with individuals and teams to unlock this potential, and make people feel better at work, is hugely rewarding for me. I have been with Nicholson McBride for over 30 years and love the variety of the work and the range of people I get involved with.
My Edge
I would like to think that I can engage people and accelerate progress. After a two-day strategic workshop, one participant said: “We’ve made more progress in these two days, than a full-time seconded team has in three months.” Designing processes which fully capitalise on the brains and the motivations of the people in the room, and facilitating them well, is what I feel I can contribute.
