Career highlights

Leading a new organisation as Chief Executive, to co-create and own a new identify and culture – enabling the new leadership team to use their passion and compassion to develop innovative solutions which remain effective a decade later.

Working with system leaders to create a city-wide network at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting nearly 12,000 shielding individuals and tens of thousands of other vulnerable families and individuals.

Why I do this work

I am passionate about helping people and systems become more effective, by adopting relational approaches that deepen connection and strengthen people in the system to support long-term change and outcomes. As a trained social worker, my experience is that putting the How before the What almost always pays dividends. Working with Nicholson McBride, I now enjoy the opportunity to share my learning and experience with colleagues from a wide variety of organisations.

My Edge

I thrive in messy systems, finding and bringing patterns to the fore, helping people to focus on the spaces in-between. However, I believe that my main edge comes from my years of working with service users and people with lived experience of our public services, augmented by my passion for bringing their voices into the rooms and minds of today’s public service leaders.
